On May 19, 2025, Dr. Michael Fonseca joined the men of Lavaca Catholic Men at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Yoakum to share a powerful message on “Living a Christ-Centered Life.”

We now know that this would be Michael’s final presentation to Lavaca Catholic Men.

Michael taught us not only through his words, but through the way he lived—calling us to conform our hearts to Christ, to embrace the Cross, to trust in God’s providence, and to live with the hope of eternal life.

In his final year, Michael gave an extraordinary witness to the very message he shared with us that evening: what it means to place our lives completely in the hands of Jesus Christ.

May Michael rest in the peace and joy of our Heavenly Father.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,

and let perpetual light shine upon him.
